The Journey Toward the Inner Map
The Visionary
Dana Diskin, PhD, is an Organizational Psychologist and the creator of The Inner Map, a transformative framework designed to help individuals navigate the complex geography of human emotion. With over two decades of experience in psychology and organizational dynamics, Dr. Diskin specializes in the "visual literacy" of the self-+translating abstract internal states into clear, actionable coordinates.
"The most impactful emotional moments are often the hardest to name while we are living them. We feel the weight, but we lack the map. I developed the metaphor framework to create 'immediate distance', allowing you to see the mechanics of your patterns so you can finally find the ground that is firmly yours."
A Global Perspective on the Human Experience
Having transitioned her life and practice to the United States 18 years ago, Dr. Diskin brings a unique perspective on resilience, cultural adaptation, and the universal language of the heart.
Her academic rigor is matched by her creative intuition. By bridging the gap between psychology and cinematic metaphor, she helps individuals name the places they feel most stuck, and find the solid ground they are searching for.
The Work: The Inner Map
Currently based in Los Angeles, Dr. Diskin is the author of the forthcoming work, The Inner Map: A Field Guide to the Geography of the Heart. Her methodology moves beyond traditional talk therapy by providing a visual and linguistic toolkit—a metaphor framework—that empowers people to decode their own emotional stories.
Whether working with individuals or navigating the complexities of organizational psychology, Dr. Diskin’s mission remains the same: to provide the precision required for true navigation.
